Privacy Policy

Last updated: this page is a first working draft, pending legal review before final adoption.

1. What we collect

Account information (name, email, phone), any child profile a parent adds (such as age and care-related notes), booking and session details, messages and documents exchanged between a family and a therapist, and the payment information needed to complete a transaction — your full card details never reach us directly; they are processed by our licensed payment gateway partner.

2. How we use it

To match families with the right professionals, to complete bookings and payments, to enable communication about sessions, to investigate a report that was actually filed, and to improve the service. We do not sell your data to anyone.

3. Who can see it

Conversations and documents between a family and a therapist are confidential — and we mean that literally: no one on the MyJalsa team reads them as a matter of routine, including the platform's own owner. Access opens only when investigating a formal report filed by one of the parties, and every such access is logged, with a reason and who did it. A therapist connected to a specific booking sees whatever the parent deliberately shares with them (like a child's file) — that is a designed part of how the platform works, not third-party access.

4. Children's data

A child's profile is created only by their parent, and that information is used exclusively to help an actual therapist provide appropriate care for that child — never for marketing, and never shared beyond a therapist the parent explicitly chooses.

5. Storage and security

Uploaded documents (reports, photos, files) are encrypted at rest. We never ask for your full card details and never store them.

6. Retention

We keep booking history and documents for as long as an account is active, because a child's care history stays useful even after a relationship with a particular therapist ends. Permanently deleting a conversation removes its messages only — shared documents are not deleted, because they belong to the child's record, not to the conversation itself.

7. Your rights

You can ask to review your data, correct it, or delete your account by contacting us. Deleting your account does not automatically delete documents shared with a therapist still providing care to your child unless you specifically ask for that.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
